Plan your Sky session with SkyCOTL.tools

A repeatable three-tool workflow for deciding what to do in Sky: Children of the Light each day — Quick Glance for the snapshot, Sky Clock for exact timing, and the Daily Planner for your task list.

What this guide solves

Sky sessions are short for most players. Between dailies, spirits, seasonal events, shard eruptions, and social commitments, it is easy to log in, wander, and log out without finishing what mattered to you. This guide walks through a three-tool workflow — Quick Glance, Sky Clock, and the Daily Planner — that takes the guesswork out of deciding what to do.

You will leave with a short priority list that fits your available time, based on the schedule information shown by the tools and confirmed in-game.

Inputs you bring

The workflow works best when you bring three things:

  • Your device timezone — the tools format reset and recurring-event times locally without asking for location permission.
  • A rough session length — five minutes, twenty minutes, or an hour changes which tasks are realistic.
  • Your current priorities — are you chasing candles, a season pass, a spirit tree, or just social time?

Step 1 — Read the current schedule snapshot

Start with Quick Glance. It combines the site's daily-quest feed, shard status, recurring-event countdowns, and a compact checklist on one screen. Treat it as a planning snapshot, then confirm anything time-sensitive in-game.

Next, check Sky Clock for reset and recurring-event timing in your local timezone. This is useful for windows such as Geyser, Grandma, and Turtle. Use the shard card in Quick Glance or the dedicated shard tool for shard-specific status instead of assuming every activity follows the clock's repeating cadence.

If a relevant window falls inside your session, keep it in the plan. If it falls outside your available time, leave it for another session.

Step 2 — Build your task list

Open the Daily Planner. It turns the site's daily and recurring schedule data into checkable groups. Mark the built-in tasks you plan to do, and add a custom task when your goal is not already listed.

The planner formats event times for your device locale and timezone. Still verify important windows in-game, especially after a game update or schedule change.

Step 3 — Trim and prioritize

If your task list is longer than your session, cut from the bottom. A good rule of thumb:

  • Put tasks with a real time window first when missing that window matters to you.
  • Keep daily or seasonal goals only when they match your current in-game progress and priorities.
  • Use flexible activities, such as a candle route or a custom goal, to fill the remaining time.
  • Protect social time if that is the reason you opened Sky; the tools should support your priorities, not choose them for you.

What these tools cannot decide for you

These tools surface schedule information and help you organize it. They do not replace in-game judgment. Specifically:

  • They cannot tell you whether a specific event is available in-game — that changes with each game update. Always verify in-game.
  • They cannot predict candle-run yields — those depend on your route, realm access, and how much you have already collected today.
  • They cannot track your spirit-tree progress — you need to check that in-game.
  • They do not assert specific event dates. For current event timing, check the Sky Events Calendar tool or official game announcements.
